Choosing a Snohomish Bakery for Your Next Event

The city of Snohomish has a distinctly bustling, artisan feel at every turn of the road. Why, you can barely walk more than 10 feet through the historic downtown area without a sweet smell wafting through the air.

More than likely, such a scrumptious aroma is emanating from one of Snohomish’s many bakeries — filled with nothing but pure deliciousness.

Sampling fare from each Snohomish bakery is a pastime all its own. But what about when you want to share the goodness with your friends at an upcoming event?

Snohomish’s baking scene has everything that you need to keep everyone congregating around the dessert table at your next event. Here are some of Gilpin Realty’s favorite Snohomish bakeries and our top recommended savories and sweets!

1. For Savory Fare in Snohomish: First & Union

Perhaps your upcoming event calls for something more on the savory side of life. If that’s the case, the Snohomish Bakery at First & Union should be your “first” choice.

A time-tested classic of Snohomish (and literally located at 101 Union Ave), it’s a great place to pick up savory dishes alongside sweet treats.

You can find their full menu here, but here’s a few of our favorites for group breakfasts and lunches:

  • Croissant sandwiches

  • Daily rotating quiches

  • Breakfast burritos

  • All manner of pastries!

The Snohomish Bakery at First & Union is a great place to pick up delightful dishes for your next event. We highly recommend it!

2. For the Sweeter Side of Life: Simply Sweet

We should all stop to enjoy the sweeter things that life has to offer.

And there is perhaps nothing sweeter than the cupcakes and cookies you’ll find at Simply Sweet.

Simply Sweet has been a part of the Snohomish bakery scene since 2010. Not only are they a great place to pop in on a weekend for a treat just for yourself, but they cater events of all sizes and occasions.

Weddings, showers, parties, and even small gatherings. They strive to “make your celebration something sweet, and one to remember!”

While the cupcakes are a major highlight for most visitors, don’t forget to sample their French macarons, cakepops, and fabulous cakes. They’re guaranteed to be a hit!

3. For a Homemade Delight: Snohomish Pie Co.

It would be hard to go any further discussing the Snohomish bakery scene without a shout out to the Snohomish Pie Co.

Dare we say that their pies teeter on being “world famous”? Delicious to the very last bite, their menu is extensive:

  • Regular pies

  • Cream pies

  • Piescream (you read that right)

  • Pie shakes

It’s hard to resist, we know. But we won’t tell anybody if you pick up a personal pie… (not like we’ve never done it).

The Snohomish Pie Co, like many Snohomish storefronts, is also one of the friendliest establishments you can visit.

There’s a distinctively warm, homey atmosphere when you walk in. Perfect for taking a bite into nostalgia… or picking up a few pies to celebrate your next birthday, backyard BBQ, or sporting event.

4. For Gluten Free: Grain

No matter what your dietary restrictions may be, everybody reserves the right to enjoy a tasty dessert.

With that in mind, we highly recommend the grandiose Grain Artisan Bakery + Market for any of our gluten-free eaters out there.

The fine folks at Grain offer a highly polished gluten free bakery Snohomish experience, with all of your favorite confectionary concoctions, without the trouble that gluten brings to the table.

They’re also fully equipped to cater events as big as weddings or as small as birthday parties.

One fun little perk they offer is their quarterly subscription box! If you fancy the idea of having cupcakes delivered to your home at a regular schedule, go no further than Grain Artisan Bakery in Snohomish.
